Finding class reserves
Items are placed on reserve to assure that all students in a class have access to required readings.
How to find reserves
You can find physical and electronic reserves in TOPCAT by course number or by professor.
Types of Reserves
- E-reserves
- You will need the barcode (14 digits beginning with 450) from your University ID card to access, download, and print electronic reserves. If you are accessing more than one electronic item, you might want to login to TOPCAT to avoid entering your barcode more than once.
- Library Use Only
- Item is restricted to use in the library. Two items may be checked out a time. Item is not renewable.
- Overnight Reserve
- May be checked out at 3 p.m. in the afternoon and is due back before 9 a.m. the following morning. Two items may be checked out at a time. Item is not renewable.
- Three/Seven Day Reserve
- Item may be checked out at any time during the day for three/seven days. Two items may be checked out at a time. Item is not renewable.
How to get reserve items
Physical reserves are held behind the circulation desk. To check these out, present the call number, title, and course number at the circulation desk.
