Overdue Items
- Overdue notices are emailed to a patron's university email account as a courtesy. Patrons are not exempt from fines should a notice not be received.
Replacement Fees
- Items that are overdue for ten days incur a replacement fee and overdue fines stop accumulating.
- The replacement fee is waived if the overdue item is returned in good condition within 60 days of being overdue.
- Most books in the regular collection have a minimum replacement fee of $50.
- Electronic equipment replacement fees can be found on the Laptops & Technology page.
- Replacement fees for other items are determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Patrons may be charged for the replacement of items that are returned damaged.
Outstanding Library Bills
- An outstanding bill of $10 or more prevents a patron from borrowing or renewing items.
- All library bills that have been outstanding for more than 60 days will be transferred to the university business office. The balance may prevent a student from registering for classes, receiving transcripts, or getting a diploma until the account is settled.
- The library reserves the right to transfer outstanding balances to the university business office at any time.
Recalls
- The library reserves the right to recall items from any patron if the item is needed for course reserves or requested by another patron.
